Reviews of The Slow Knife EP (2015)

Great fuzzy slice of instrumental doom from this new band to me. Has that very particular guitar tone I just can't get enough of. Now where's the vinyl

Simply brilliant, this debut by Irish instrumental doomers Serpents Eve 'The Slow Knife' (2015) calls to mind the wonderful epic motifs of doom's heritage, especially the music of Candlemass and the great doomers of the 90's.

States their bio: "Serpents Eve vibrate with euphoric doom, following pathways forged by previous masters such as Trouble, Sleep, Cathedral and Solitude Aeturnus. Bastard sons of England and Ireland, born into conflict, risen to overcome-Doom or be Doomed."

Indeed, the Goate is well-pleased with this one. The EP is free for the asking, but I recommend you show them some love for their efforts.
Among the ‪#‎BestSoFar‬ in its genre this year. The guitars just sing, especially in the title track.
